Sue Phaneuf
Sue is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor intern under the direction of the team of professional counselors at the Lifeworks Group, Inc. She seeks to discover ways to minister freedom and healing to the heart of those who are hurting emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. As a lay counselor, she has invested in the lives of: women, children, adolescents, college students, couples, elderly, and Christians in leadership. Her passion has been to be used by God caregiver to encourage clients in their life’s journey while improving their relationships.
EXPERIENCE
-Middle school guidance intern-counseled individual students led support group for middle school student impacted by divorce
-Phone counseling –with youth in Montreal / Adults in the US for 10 years with Ligonier Ministries
-Co-director West Island Youth Ranch – Christian drop-in center, co director camps,
counseling teens and life coach for parent/teen relationships
-Worked on teams college students & high school for summer outreach projects
-Taught emotionally needy first graders patients of child psychiatrist in FL
-Campus Crusade for Christ student staff at Western KY Univ. counseled students individually and
developed leadership groups and coordinated large group meetings.
-Collaborated with educational co-operatives Broward County & Seminole County parent-educators
-Worked with children and adults suffering with cancer in hospital, doctor’s offices and ‘Make a Wish’
-Served as a caregiver for senior citizens in home bound care and nursing homes in KY & FL
-Worked on teams for Evangelism Explosion as a Trainer for clinics of layman and pastoral team
-Worked as small group coordinator for Lay Witness Missions in KY, TN, GA, and VA
-Worked with head start children in rural areas of KY
-Worked on prayer support teams for local church, a pastor’s prayer support team, & Mom’s in Touch
-Working with her husband and the Lord to parent five children
