Linda Riley

Linda is a Florida Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and also a Certified Sex Therapist specializing in marital intimacy and couples communication issues. She has counseled families and couples for over 25 years to move from conflict to renewed closeness. Her primary counseling focus has been with enriching relationships to improve communication and connection in marriage and family relationships. She promotes personal growth by building healthy self-concepts and greater confidence to help her counseling clients move past feeling angry, rejected, depressed or anxious to enjoy a better quality of life with renewed personal peace and inner strength.

Linda received her Masters of Science in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from Loma Linda University in California and completed her post-graduate work at the Kantor Family Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She also studied under Jay Haley, a world renowned family therapist at the Family Therapy Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ms. Riley’s accomplishments as a therapist are listed on some of the most respected websites on the Internet, including, Psychology Today, MSN, US News & World Report, among many others.

Keynote Speaker & Media Experience
Linda has been a keynote speaker for Central Florida Helpline, University Behavioral Center, New Destiny Christian Church and the Employee Assistance Professionals Association. Linda was a co-host on the counseling radio program, “LifeWorks Live” on WTLN 950AM. She is also known for being an inspirational speaker in the Orlando area, with presentations to the faith community on overcoming conflict, building successful marriages to last a lifetime and moving beyond pressure to find God’s peace.
 
Professional Memberships
Linda is a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists and has been active in this psychological organization for over 15 years. She is an AASECT Certified Therapist and a long term member of the highly respected American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, (AAMFT).

Teaching Experience
Linda taught Human Sexuality & Behavioral Sciences to medical students at Loma Linda Graduate School of Marriage & Family Therapy in California, and to Family Practice Residents at the New England Memorial Hospital. She also taught in the Loma Linda Graduate School of Psychology. She has provided continuing education classes for nursing students and hospital personnel in Florida and has spoken for Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Group Therapy Experience
Linda is a respected trainer and group leader facilitating on the topics of Divorce Recovery, Relationship Enrichment, Infertility Groups, and Recovery after an Affair, Adolescent Development, and helping people to understand the complex differences between women and men in a fun and creative way.

Personal Lifestyle
Linda lives in Orlando, Florida and successfully raised two daughters. She has personally experienced God’s healing power throughout her life journey which is why she is so passionate about encouraging others to face tough times with spiritual insight and strength. She believes that God called her to help heal those who are broken-hearted and to strengthen relationships. She draws from her vast life experiences to reach out and help her counseling clients to find deeper meaning and greater purpose in all the dimensions of their lives.
